申請資格Eligibility:
外國學生申請資格須遵守及符合教育部「外國學生來臺就學辦法」、「入學大學同等學力認定標準」、「專科以上學校維護外國學生受教權益應行注意事項」及「國立暨南國際大學外國學生入學招生規定」之規定。
Applicant eligibility must comply and meet with the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan”, “Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Levels for University Admission”, “Guidelines for Ensuring the Educational Rights and Interests of International Students in Colleges and Universities” of the Ministry of Education and “National Chi Nan University Admission Regulations for International Students”.
一、須符合下列身份資格之一者，始具備外國學生申請入學之資格：
(一)具外國國籍且未曾具有中華民國國籍，符合下列規定者，得依本辦法規定申請入學：
1.未曾以僑生身分在臺就學。
2.未於申請入學當學年度依僑生回國就學及輔導辦法經海外聯合招生委員會分發。
Applicant Eligibility:
A person of foreign nationality who has never held Republic of China (“R.O.C.”) nationality and who meets the following requirements is permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution, in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations:
I. The person has never undertaken studies in Taiwan as an overseas Chinese student.
II. The person has not been given a placement in the current academic year by the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students in accordance with the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan.
(二)具外國國籍並符合下列規定，且最近連續居留海外六年以上者，亦得依本辦法規定申請入學：
1.申請時兼具中華民國國籍者，應自始未曾在臺設有戶籍。
2.申請前曾兼具中華民國國籍，於申請時已不具中華民國國籍者，應自內政部許可喪失中華民國國籍之日起至申請時已滿八年。
3.前二款均應符合前項第一款及第二款規定。
A person of foreign nationality who meets the following requirements and who in the immediate past has resided overseas continuously for at least six years is also permitted to apply for admission to an educational institution, in accordance with these Regulations. However, a person who plans to apply to study in a university department of medicine, dentistry, or Chinese medicine must have resided overseas continuously for at least eight years.
I. A person who at the time of their application also holds dual R.O.C. nationality shall have never had household registration in Taiwan.
II. A person who before the time of their application also held dual R.O.C. nationality but no longer does at the time of their application shall have renounced their R.O.C. nationality with the approval of the Ministry of the Interior on a date at least eight full years before making their application.
III. A person referred to in either of the preceding two subparagraphs shall meet the requirements stipulated in Subparagraph 1 and Subparagraph 2 of the previous paragraph.
(三)具外國國籍，兼具香港或澳門永久居留資格，且未曾在臺設有戶籍，申請時於香港、澳門或海外連續居留滿六年以上者。
An applicant of foreign nationality, who is eligible for permanent residence in Hong Kong or Macao, who has never had household registration in Taiwan, and who at the time of their application has resided in Hong Kong, Macao, or elsewhere overseas continuously for at least six years may apply for admission in accordance with the provisions of these Regulations.
(四)曾為大陸地區人民具外國國籍且未曾在臺設有戶籍，申請時已連續居留海外六年以上者。
A person who was formerly from the Mainland Area and who has foreign nationality and has have never had household registration in Taiwan, and who at the time of their application has resided overseas continuously for at least six years may apply for admission to an educational institution.
(五)除國際專修部、新南向國際產學合作專班及招生法令另有規定之班別外，應依授課語言明定入學語言能力門檻；需具有華語文能力者，其華語文能力測驗（ TOCFL）應達A2（含）級以上，需具有英語文能力者，其英語文能力測驗應達CEFR B1（含）級以上」，始得申請。
Applicant eligibility except for the International Foundation Program and International Programs of Industy-Academia Collaboration in Taiwan, the language proficiency threshold for admission should be clearly determined according to the language of instruction; those who need to have Chinese language proficiency, their Chinese Language Proficiency Test (TOCFL) Should reach A2 (included) level or above, and those who need to have English proficiency, their English proficiency test should reach CEFR B1 (included) level or above.
二、須符合修讀各級學位之入學資格：
(一)符合我國教育部採認之高中、大學或獨立學院畢業：申請學士班者需具國外高中畢業學歷；申請碩士班者需具大學畢業學歷；申請博士班者需具碩士畢業學歷。
(二)外國學生申請入學本校學歷採認，除依我國「外國學生來臺就學辦法」規定辦理，並應符合以下規定：
1.持大陸地區學歷：應依我國「大陸地區學歷採認辦法規定辦理」。
2.持香港或澳門學歷：應依我國「香港澳門學歷檢覈及採認辦法規定」辦理。
3.持同等學力申請入學者，其同等學力認定標準應符合我國教育部公告之「入學大學同等學力認定標準」。
Requirements to apply for a program:
I. To apply for a bachelor’s program, a high school diploma is required. To apply for a master’s program a bachelor’s diploma is required. To apply for a doctoral program master’s diploma is required. Diplomas must be issued by schools recognized by the R.O.C. Ministry of Education.
II. The assessment and recognition of foreign academic credentials should be subject to the MOE Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan as well as the following rules:
(I) Academic credentials from the Mainland Area: The MOE Regulations Regarding the Assessment and Recognition of Academic Credentials for Mainland Area should apply.
(II) Academic credentials from Hong Kong or Macau: The MOE Regulations Governing the Examination and Recognition of Educational Records from Hong Kong and Macao should apply.
(III) The assessment and recognition of academic credentials at an adequate level of education should be conducted in accordance with the MOE Standards for Standards for Recognition of Equivalent Educational Levels for University Admission.
三、國外高中或大學以上學歷文件須符合我國教育部採認之學校。請參考我國教育部兩岸教育司網頁查詢：請至我國教育部網頁→點選「國際及兩岸教育」→點選「業務專區」→點選「海外留學」→點選「外國大學校院參考名冊」。
The foreign high school, college, or university where an applicant earned his/her graduation certificate, diploma, or academic credentials should be officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, R.O.C. Please visit the Database for the Reference List of Foreign Universities for more details.
四、欲申請就讀學士班者，須未曾在我國以外國學生身分申請並完成高中學校學程。
Applicants who have completed secondary education in the Republic of China are not eligible to apply to bachelor degree programs as international students.
五、須未曾遭入學學校以操行、學業成績不及格或因犯刑事案件經判刑確定致遭退學者。
International students who are expelled from any university/college after admission due to any misconduct, poor academic performance or a conviction under the Criminal Code may not thereafter reapply.
六、須未曾因違反本校校規情節重大而遭本校註銷選讀資格者。
Applicants who have been previously disqualified from participating in National Chi Nan University courses as a result of any violation of university regulations are ineligible to apply.
七、須符合招生簡章各系所個別要求之申請條件。
Applicants must meet all individual departmental requirements.
八、如違反上述任一條件之申請者，經查證屬實後，撤銷入學資格、開除學籍或本校畢業資格，且不發給任何學歷證明。
An applicant who is found to have violated any of the aforesaid rules should be disqualified from admission or have his/her student status forfeited, or the degree diploma issued should be revoked. Providence University reserves the right to not issue any certificate to such a student.
入學語言能力門檻 Minimum language proficiency requirements
申請中文授課系所：其華語能力測驗(TOCFL)應達A2（含）級以上或相當等級之國際通用中文能力證明。
1. 母語為中文者可免繳，請提供護照及中文背景自述信。
2. 畢業於中文授課之學校者可免繳，請出具學校證明(例如：馬來西亞華文獨立中學畢業證書)。
3. 大學主修中文者可免繳，請提供畢業證書或出具學校證明。
For applicants who is applying for the Chinese-taught program, one should meet the requirement of TOCFL level A2 or others International Chinese proficiency certificate.
1. Applicants who are native speakers, please provide the copy of your passport and a personal statement describing your Chinese language background.
2. Applicants graduated from a school where Chinese is the language of instruction (ex: Graduation certificate of Malaysia Chinese independent high school)
3. Applicants’ major in college used to be Chinese, please submit a certificate issued from school.
申請英文授課系所：英語能力測驗CEFR B1級（含）以上之各項證明，如：托福TOEFL IBT47、托福TOEFL ITP457、雅思IELTS 4.0、多益TOEIC 550以上或等同之國際英語認證考試。
1. 國籍為英語系國家者可免繳，請提供護照作為證明。
2. 在英語系國家取得前一學位者可免繳，請提供畢業證書作為證明。
3. 畢業於英語授課之學校者可免繳，請出具學校之英語授課證明。
For English-Taught Programs: English Proficiency Test Certificate: Equivalent to or higher than CEFR B1 level. Such as: TOEFL IBT47, TOEFL ITP457, IELTS 4.0, TOEIC 550 (or above) or equivalent level of other English proficiency tests.
1. Students who are from countries use English as the Official or Common Language, please prove by submitting your passport.
2. Applicants get the diploma in a country where English is the Official or Common Language, please prove by submitting the graduation diploma.
3. Applicants graduated from a school where English is the language of instruction and a certificate issued from school should be submit.
若系所另訂定更高語言要求，依照該系所規定，繳交同等級測驗證明。
In the case of departments with higher language requirements, a language proficiency test certificate is required to be submitted according to individual departments regulations.
財力證明基準Financial Statement
近三個月內之財力證明，須出具由銀行帳戶存款證明，或政府、本校或民間機構提供全額獎助學金之證明，財力證明須申請者本人帳戶且金額至少為美金3千元以上。
※若申請者所提供之財力證明為資助人(非本人)之存款證明，需再附上資助人之財力保證書。
※財力證明不得採用代辦、公司行號或個人開立證明。
Financial evidence of support for study in Taiwan (issued by a financial institution within the past three months): Proof of deposit in a bank account or proof of a scholarship from the government, the university or a private organization with at least US$3,000.
※If the financial statement (deposit statement) is not in the name of the applicant, a Financial Guarantee is also required from the sponsor.
※Financial statements should not be issued by agents, company names or individual certificates.

外國學生獎助學金NCNU international student scholarship
暨大外國學生獎助學金共有兩種類型: 每月津貼及學雜費(學分費)減免。
Stipend and general fee and tuition reduction (tuition per credit) are two types of International Student Scholarship Awards at NCNU.
獎助學金Stipend:
- 碩士班：校級獎助學金每名每月新臺幣 2,000 至 4,000 元整。獎勵期限為1學期。
For Master Degree Programs: Minimum amount of scholarship per person per month ranges from NT$2,000 to NT$4,000. The award period is one semester.
- 博士班：校級獎助學金每名每月新臺幣 6,000 至 8,000 元整。獎勵期限為1學期。
For PhD Degree Programs: Minimum amount of scholarship per person per month ranges from NT$6,000 to NT$8,000. The award period is one semester.
學雜費減免Tuition Reduction:
學雜費 (學分費)減免分為部分減免(同本校一般生收費標準)及全額減免。
Two types of waivers: Partial reduction (General fee and Tuition criteria as domestic registered students) and full waiver.
- 學士班受獎年限最多4年。
Bachelor Program: The maximum reduction period for a bachelor’s program is utmost 4 years.
- 碩士班受獎年限最多2年。
Master Program: The maximum exemption of the General fee and Tuition (tuition per credit) for the master program is up to 12 credits per semester for 2 years.
- 博士班受獎年限最多4年。
Ph.D. Program: The maximum exemption of the General fee and Tuition (tuition per credit) for the Ph.D. program is up to 12 credits per semester for 4 years.
外國學生入學後須於每年5月1~15日及11月16~30日向國際處申請下一學期獎助學金。
Duration of Scholarship (University-level): August 2024 - January 2025. After admission, students must apply for scholarships for the following semester from May 1st to May 15th, and from November 16th to November 30th each year.
