Registration Process Document

Exchange Student Course Selection Form

1. Accommodation

  • On-Campus Housing: Guaranteed for all international students.
  • Fee: NTD 13,589 (includes NTD 2,000 deposit and NTD 300 dormitory internet fee).
  • Type: Double occupancy.

2. Insurance

  • Medical Insurance: Students will be assisted with enrollment in international student medical insurance after completing registration.
  • Fee: NTD 500 to 826 per month.

3. Visa-Related Information

Important: Do not enter Taiwan with a landing visa or e-visa as they cannot be extended in Taiwan. If you do, you will need to leave Taiwan to apply for a new visa.

Extending Visitor Visa:

Exchange students must stay for at least 120 days, but the Visitor Visa allows a maximum of 90 days. Ensure you extend your visa before it expires.

Required Documents for Visa Extension:

  1. ARC Application form (choose VISITOR VISA EXTENSION)
  2. Photo (white background, 4.5cm x 3.5cm).
  3. Student ID or Enrollment Certificate (original and photocopy).
  4. Passport (original and photocopy).
  5. Visa (original and photocopy).
  6. Fee: NTD 300.

If Applying for a Resident Visa: Additional documents will be required.

4. Application for National Identification Number in Taiwan

  • For foreigners without a national ID.
  • Foreigners holding a visitor visa who need to open a bank account can apply at the local Immigration Service Center.

Required Documents:

  • Application form.
  • Passport and visa (original and photocopy).
  • Fee: Free.
  • Processing Time: 1 working day.

If Applying via an Agent:

  • Provide a signature on the "Stay/Residence Application Form" under the applicant section.
  • Agent's identification, such as ID card, passport, or ARC (original and photocopy).

5. Campus Registration

Assigned student buddies will assist with a campus tour and completing registration.
