Building on the intensive series of visits to embassies of allied nations on April 8, Dean of International Affairs Eric Chu traveled at 3:00 p.m. on April 15 from National Chi Nan University to the Tianmu Diplomatic Enclave in Taipei to further advance substantive cooperation in higher education with allied countries. During this visit, he called on the Embassy of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Republic of China (Taiwan), further strengthening the University’s international education outreach and engagement in the Caribbean region.

The visit was personally received by H.E. Ambassador Andrea Clare Bowman of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to the Republic of China (Taiwan) and Minister Dr. Elroy Wilson. Both sides engaged in substantive and pragmatic discussions on higher education cooperation, international student recruitment, short-term exchange programs, and talent development. They also actively explored the feasibility of encouraging students from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to pursue studies in Taiwan and establishing long-term academic collaboration mechanisms. The meeting was conducted in a cordial and focused atmosphere, reflecting a strong mutual consensus and commitment to advancing future cooperation.

During the meeting, Dean Eric Chu highlighted two of National Chi Nan University’s English-taught master’s degree programs: the B A I T I A Master’s Degree Program offered by the College of Management, and the Intelligent Semiconductor and Green Technology Master’s Program under the College of Science and Technology. He emphasized the University’s strengths in integrating artificial intelligence, information technology, and industry applications in its curriculum, which received strong interest and positive feedback from the Embassy representatives.

In addition, the two sides exchanged commemorative gifts and took group photographs, symbolizing the continued strengthening of bilateral relations. This visit not only further consolidated the foundation of educational cooperation between Taiwan and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, but also established concrete directions for future collaboration in student exchange, short-term programs, and transnational talent development, thereby enhancing National Chi Nan University’s international presence and influence in the Caribbean region.
