Description

停留簽證

Visitor Visa

外籍人士持有效護照或其他合法證件，預計在臺灣停留時間不超過6個月者。For holders of valid foreign passport, or other legitimate identification intending to stay in Taiwan for up to 6 months.

居留簽證

Resident Visa

外籍人士持一般護照或其他合法證件，預計在臺灣停留時間超過6個月以上者。

For holders of a valid foreign passport or other legitimate identification intending to stay in Taiwan for 6 months or more.

  • 來臺就學或在臺交換生有必要停留超過6個月者，必須持「居留簽證」在臺換發「外僑居留證」(Alien Resident Certificate)才能合法居留。

  • A student or exchange student in Taiwan with a resident visa who needs to stay for more than 6 months must change their resident visa to an alien resident certificate (ARC) to maintain their legitimate residence status.

  • 持註記「就學」、「交換生」或「研習中文」之停留簽證入境，擬申請居留原因與其原持憑入國之停留簽證目的相符者，請逕向內政部移民署申請居留。

  • A person who has a visitor visa marked with “pursuing studies,”“exchange student,” or “studying Chinese” for entry, and for whom the reason in the application for residence is the same as the purpose of his/her visitor visa when entering Taiwan, must directly apply to the National Immigration Agency for ARC.

  • 如逾停( 居) 留效期者，須依規定離境重新申請簽證。

  • If a foreigner's visitor visa or resident visa has expired, the regulations require the person to leave the country and reapply for a visa.

  • 持簽證代碼為P的觀光簽證，因入境事由不同故無法直接在國內轉換FS或是FR，必須先出境轉換簽證才可來臺居留就讀。

  • If a foreigner enters Taiwan with a visitor visa with the P notation, it is not permitted to change the visa notation to FS or FR in Taiwan because study was not the purpose of entry that was declared. To reside in Taiwan for the purpose of undertaking study, the person must leave the country and change their visa to be permitted to enter Taiwan to study.

  • 以免簽證或落地簽證方式入境，或非以就學之簽證目的持停留簽證來臺者，不得以就學為由要求轉換居留簽證或申請延長停留期限。

  • A foreigner who enters Taiwan with Visa-Exempt Entry, Landing Visa, or some other type of visa not related to the purpose of study is not permitted to apply for a resident visa or for an extension of their stay on the grounds of undertaking study.

    簽證申請表

    Application form

    須至「簽證線上填表」填寫，列印產出具有條碼之簽證申請表，並親自簽名確認。

    Go to website: https://visawebapp.boca.gov.tw . Fill out the application form online and print it out.  Make sure the application form shows a bar code on it.  Sign the application form.

    6個月內2吋彩色照片2張

    Two color passport-size (45 mm in height and 35 mm in width) photos

    背景須以白色為底色

    Paste on the application form two color passport-size photos with a white background taken within 6 months.

    護照正本及影本

    Passport and one photocopy of the passport
    1. 護照效期須為六個月以上且有空白頁。

    The passport must be valid for at least 6 months and there are blank pages left in it.

    1. 請影印含照片在內之護照基本資料頁。

    One photocopy of the passport bio-page including the holder’s picture is required.

    健康檢查合格證明正本及影本一份

    Original and one photocopy of health certificate
    1. 繳驗最近3個月內由衛生福利部指定外籍人士體檢國內醫院或國外醫院出具之健康檢查合格證明(居留或定居健康檢查項目表)，國外健檢證明須經中華民國駐外館處驗證。

    The health certificate should be issued within 3 months by one of the local hospitals designated by the Centers for Disease Control of  Ministry of Health and Welfare of the R.O.C. (Taiwan) or a foreign hospital.  Health certificates issued by foreign hospitals must be authenticated by an R.O.C. (Taiwan) overseas mission.

    Visit the website of the Centers for Disease Control at https://www.cdc.gov.tw/En for health checkup items and the list of designated local hospitals.

    入學許可/通知或在學暨註冊證明、成績單正本及影本

    Original and one photocopy of admission permit /record of enrollment, registration and transcripts
    1. 申請人須先依據教育部主管所訂之「外國學生來臺就學辦法」申請入學，並取得入學許可或錄取通知。

    For school applications and admission permits, follow the instructions of the “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” promulgated by the Ministry of Education.

    1. 外國學生應繳驗由學校出具之入學許可或錄取通知書。

    The admission permit is required for Resident Visa application.

    1. 符合在境內改辦就學事由居留簽證者，須另繳驗在學證明、已註冊證明及在校成績單。

    Applicants who are eligible to shift his/her valid visa from current purpose to the resident visa for student purpose are required to present the record of enrollment and registration as well as transcripts.

    最高學歷證件(含畢業證書及歷年成績單) 正本及影本

    Original and one photocopy of highest education diploma and transcripts for each year

    中文、英文以外之學歷證件應附中文或英文譯本(須經我國駐外館處驗證)。

    For diplomas and transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English, a Chinese- or English-translation version is also required. (Must be authenticated by an R.O.C(Taiwan)overseas mission.)

    財力證明正本及影本(6個月經常性財力)

    Original and one photocopy of proof of financial support
    1. 限提供本人或三等親(父母、祖父母、兄弟姊妹)出具財力證明、匯款證明、獎學金證明；非本人之財力須另繳附親屬關係證明。

    Bank statements or records of remittance provided by the applicant or his/her relatives within the third degree of kinship (grandparents, parents and siblings).

    *Bank statements or records of remittance supported by the applicant’s relatives must be submitted along with the household registration/ birth certificate/ family book which may prove the relationship of relative.

    *The amount showing on the bank statements or records of remittance, when the visa application is submitted, must be sufficient enough for at least a consecutive 6 months living needs.

    1. 獎學金證明須載明受獎期限及額度。

    The scholarship certificate must indicate the duration and the exact amount of the scholarship.

    其他視個案要求提供之文件。

    Other supporting documents

    視個案審查需求而定（例如：來台目的證明、父母同意書、在臺監護人同意書、在台關係人保證書、無犯罪紀錄證明、語文能力證明…等審核所需之文件），於國內申請者，須加影印最近一次之簽證頁及入境章頁。

    The Documents listed below are required optionally (required on a case-by-case basis)

    1. The purpose for visiting Taiwan,
    2. Consent from parents and the guardian in Taiwan,
    3. Guarantee letter,
    4. Police Criminal Record Certificate,
    5. Language ability certificate,
    6. Photocopies of the Visitor Visa and the immigration entry stamp.
